Whenever driving north on I95, I’ve seen a snippet of this area^^ and have always wanted to find it to take pics.
Little did I know, it’s a pretty well-known artsy area in a not-so-great part of Miami with walls full of funky graf art, good restaurants, cool art galleries and great music.
My kid turned three last week, and I thought it’d be the perfect excuse to finally get there- take some pics of him in front of graffiti art- preferably with three red balloons which were a pain in the ass to deal with but SO worth it in the end. It was a great time and I hope to make this an annual tradition.
If you’re visiting or live in South Florida, go to the Wynwood Walls in the early evening on the second Saturday of the month-
the area is flooded with food trucks, music and a nice amount of art you wouldn’t expect to find in the MIA.
And if you have kids, bring them here with some balloons for a birthday shoot and go to town- you’ll be happy you did.
this pic reminds me of de la soul’s ego trippin’ video:
